10 Obsessed Super Fans With Ridiculously Creepy Celebrity Shrines
What’s the best part about being a
celebrity? Is it fortune? Is it fame? Celebrity status not only brings mansions
and limos, it also brings fans who squeal just at the thought of seeing their
favorite celeb, ask for pictures and beg for autographs. While most fans don’t
cause problems, some fans can take their celebrity love a bit too far,
instantly becoming creepy super fans who live to collect memorabilia and odd facts
about a celeb’s life.
It’s no surprise, then, that fans
have assembled some crazy shrines over the years in honor of their celebrity
idols. While these shrines are often both impressive and expensive, they can
also be ridiculously creepy. What’s weirder than collecting a tissue that
Michael Jackson used to blow his nose or a napkin that Madonna used at brunch?
So, what shrines are the biggest and
the creepiest? How much are they worth and what do they look like? We found 10
obsessed super fans who have built ridiculously creepy celebrity shrines with
memorabilia worth millions! These shrines are sure to blow your mind and leave
you hugging your wallet just a little tighter tonight!
#10 – Chris Crocker (Britney Spears)

Britney Spears has been one of the
biggest pop stars since 1998, and if this Britney Spears superfan looks
familiar, that’s because this is Chris Crocker. Before Chris was making viral
videos, urging people to “Leave Britney alone!”, Chris was rolling around on a
bunch of Britney Spears memorabilia without wearing a shirt. If there was any
doubt that Chris wasn’t really that much of a fan before the video, this should
squash any doubt.
While it’s fine to be a big fan of
someone’s music, it’s a little odd to see the collection of Britney Spears
items and how Crocker rolls around shirtless in it. You know how people cut out
the eyes on certain photos in a really disturbing way? It looks sort of similar
to this, except Crocker kept all of the eyes in. Between this and the video,
Crocker looked like he was on his way to being a John Hinkley copycat.
#9 – (Unknown Person) Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus had a chance at a music
career thanks in part to the fact that her father is country singer Billy Ray
Cyrus. Miley became a star when appearing on “Hannah Montana” on the Disney
Channel, and the show had a large following. This unidentified fan built an
entire shrine dedicated to the pop star, covering her entire wall with pictures
of Miley, but they don’t look too recent.
This shrine was posted by a Tumblr
user named Classyherondales that has since deleted his or her account. We wish
that we knew the real name of the user, although they might have received a
restraining order from Miley Cyrus’s lawyers to take this photo off of the
internet. Normally, your walls are reserved for photos of friends and family,
not an entire wall of one celebrity in her younger days, that’s a bit creepy.
#8 – Rockhead (KISS)

Once hailed as “The Hottest Band in
the World”, KISS achieved a large cult following during the 1970’s and 1980’s.
Among their loyal fans is a Netherlands resident who goes by the moniker of
‘Rockhead’. Rockhead built a massive shrine to KISS, a band that released a lot
of merchandise that the KISS Army could collect. While it’s not pictured,
Rockhead also owns the KISS pinball game that was released.
We’re not sure what Rockhead’s real
name is, but the man runs a website that he has devoted to kiss where he shows
off his entire collection and his photos that he has taken with the band.
Rockhead has also gone on cruises and attended as many concerts as humanly
possible. The members of the band must not recognize him at each of these
events, or else they probably would have asked him to stop by now.
#7 – Paul MacLeod (Elvis Presley)

At the height of his career, there
was no musician that was more popular worldwide than Elvis Presley. In the town
of Holly Springs, Mississippi, a man named Paul MacLeod said that Elvis is
“right behind Jesus Christ” in his book. MacLeod assembled this impressive
shrine to Elvis that he calls ‘Graceland Too’. At one point, MacLeod was
offered $1 million for a rare vinyl record, but said that he wouldn’t even take
$20 million for it.
Have you ever been so obsessed with a
celebrity that you have enough of their memorabilia in your home that it has
been dubbed a fire hazard? That’s what happened to MacLeod. At one point,
MacLeod shot a man in his home that was asking for money late at night,
breaking the window to his famous home. Just two days later, MacLeod was found
dead in his home in a similar stance as his hero, due to natural causes.
#6 – Sam Stefani (Spice Girls)

While the Spice Girls did have a
massive following around the world, they weren’t as popular for as long as much
of the other celebrities on our list. 29 year old Sam Stefani doesn’t care that
it was a short lived run at the top, as he has shown off his collection valued
at more than $10,000 to the all-girl band. Stefani owns lollipops, fitness
videos, napkins and more. Stefani even said that he got his tongue pierced like
Mel B so that he could be just like her.
Stefani told reporters that “My love
for them started the moment I first saw them, the fun, the attitude, the power!
It all drew me in and I was addicted. I really couldn’t get enough, I ate,
drank, slept, lived the Spice Girls.” The obsession became creepy and
expensive, but thankfully Stefani has cooled off a bit in his more recent years
now that he is engaged to a woman that isn’t as big of a fan as he is.
#5 – Mel Prussack (Bob Dylan)

Bob Dylan is a folk legend that is
still rocking out to this day, but his biggest fan is Mel Prussack. Prussack
claims to be the first person to capture Bob Dylan singing on film during the
1970’s, and his shrine is dedicated all to the singer. Prussack owns every
album, and in this picture, he gets to showcase the creepy Bob Dylan doll that
might give you nightmares now. Sorry about that.
Not only has Prussack followed Dylan
around the entire country, all he seems to think about is the lyrics to his
songs. If Prussack sees something that reminds him of a lyric that was written
by Dylan, he will collect the item and make a sculpture out of it. You have to
go out of your way to collect some of the items that Prussack has, including a
baseball that was signed by Dylan and Willie Nelson for some reason.
#4 – James Harknett (Madonna)

Madonna has been selling out shows
all over the world for more than three decades now, but perhaps her biggest fan
is James Harknett from London, England. James has an entire room dedicated to
Madonna merchandise, including a rare beach towel. James got the once in a
lifetime chance to meet Madonna, and he is actually working as a tanning expert
these days. Follow your dreams, kids!
The United Kingdom version of the
show “Cribs” was allowed into Harknett’s home back in 2003, so you could get a
first hand look at the creepy obsession. Luckily, he isn’t dangerous as
evidence by his meeting with Madonna, but it’s still off putting. Harknett once
told a reporter that after collecting her first album, “I just desired every
item to do with M. This was at the very beginning and within a year or so the
bedroom was covered in her.”
#3 – Brian Lee (Michael Jackson)

“The King of Pop” is responsible for
some of the biggest hits since the 1980’s rolled around, including the highest
selling album of all time. Brian Lee of England loved the singer so much that
he dedicated this entire room to the late singer that passed away in 2009.
Brian is now working as a Michael Jackson impersonator that claims to have
learned all of his dance moves over the years.
They say it might be a sign of an
illness if you try to completely impersonate somebody’s life, and that appears
to be what Brian Lee is doing. Upon Jackson’s death, Lee said that “On the day
he died, everyone in my road and the surrounding houses heard me screaming. It
was the worst day of my life.” A lot of us were a bit shaken up by the death of
Michael Jackson, but it wasn’t the worst day of our lives.
#2 – Slavko Franca (Rolling Stones)

The Rolling Stones haven’t only been
popular for nearly half a century now, but they are still on tour and bringing
in tons of fans. With shows all over the world, they have played in 40 total
countries, but not Slovenia. This shrine that was created by Slavko Franca was
shown to the world in hopes of bringing the rock band to his native country, so
he can add a ticket from the show as the final piece of his collection.
To say that Franca is obsessed might
be a bit of an understatement, as he has been to nearly 50 shows across the
globe and went through desperate means to do it. Franca has taken a boat and
hitchhiked into different countries to see the Rolling Stones and he sounded
defeated when he told reporters that “They’ll never come. There are only two
million inhabitants here. And they are not so much fans of the Rolling Stones”
#1 – Brian McIntire (The Beatles)

Perhaps the most famous band of all
time, there is no doubt that The Beatles have several shrines dedicated to them
all across the globe. Perhaps the most impressive collection belongs to Brian
McIntire, who decided that a room wasn’t good enough, so he dedicated his
entire house to The Fab Four. McIntire calls his proudest piece of memorabilia
the full playing set that includes a drum kit and amplifier, and he keeps all
of his music and videos in chronological order.
McIntire thinks about the Beatles
non-stop, and he had an obsession with late singer John Lennon, but not to the
point that Mark David Chapman, Lennon’s killer, did. McIntire has tried to reach
out to the two remaining living Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, on
multiple occasions but has only heard back from Yoko Ono, Lennon’s widow.
